How do you pronounce AliKat?

AliKat = Alley Cat

Like an "alley cat's" eyes, AliKat Reflectors reflect light back to the original light source. Our reflectors are retroreflective which means they do not require batteries.

Are AliKat Reflectors high quality?

​

Yes, our reflectors are highly reflective and can last for years. They were invented by a Finnish farmer, and they are still manufactured in Finland today.

​

AliKat Reflectors can increase visibility of pedestrians up to three times compared to pedestrians not wearing a reflector.

​

Our reflectors have a minimum reflective value of 800 CIL (Coefficient of Luminous Intensity).  The minimum standard in the European Economic Area is 400 CIL, meaning our reflectors exceed that value. Meanwhile, the US currently has no set standard for pedestrian reflectors.

The number of pedestrian fatalities in the United States has skyrocketed since 2008. Most of these fatalities occur after dark. Children and older adults are at the highest risk of being struck. Pedestrians who use AliKat Reflectors can significantly increase their visibility to drivers. With proper use, our sturdy reflectors can be worn for years.

We can print your logo on any of our eye-catching reflectors. We also sell pre-designed reflectors. AliKat Reflectors are designed to be worn daily and can be used for years.

​How do you use a reflector?

​

Reflectors can be attached easily by their clasp and chain to jackets, zippers, backpacks, handbags, walkers, wheelchairs, leashes, and more. Reflectors do not glow, but rather reflect light back to drivers.

What designs are available?

​

Our reflectors come in numerous shapes and an array of colors displayed on our Products page. Customized logos and texts can be digitally printed. Prints can cover up to one-third of one side of the reflector surface while still meeting the stringent safety requirements of the European Economic Area. Pre-designed reflectors come with a ready design.

Are reflectors safe for the environment?

​

AliKat Reflectors materials are recyclable and PVC-free. Our manufacturing process is certified in accordance with the international environmental protection standard ISO 14001. 

​

Our safety reflectors can last for decades with proper use. They also do not require batteries.

​How do I place an order?

​

Please contact us to ask about pricing and orders. The minimum order quantity for our Customizable Collection is 500 reflectors. For the Pre-Designed Collection, our minimum order quantity is 240 reflectors.  

​

​What are the specific art requirements to print a logo or design on the reflectors?

​

We recommend that the printed area cover no more than 1/3 of one side of the reflector's surface in order to maintain the reflective properties.  Please submit the logo and graphic files in VECTOR format (.eps, .ai, .pdf).  Note that we cannot use logos which are in .jpg, .gif, .png or .bmp format.
